Ornamentals
Florida is ranked second nationally in the production of ornamental plants, which includes cut flowers, flowering potted plants, hanging baskets, potted foliage plants, cut foliage (cultivated greens, florists' greens), bedding and garden plants, and woody ornamentals (Larson and Nesheim, 2000. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/PI038). The diversity of plants that may be grown in one location creates special challenges for pest management.
